Back in December of 2014, I received an inquiry from
my sweet Facebook friend Joey "Dixie" Dylla:
" Hi Anne. I really want to talk to you
about photographing the Dylla Farmhouse....
probably after the first of the year
when the Christmas decor is put away....
I can't wait to see the farmhouse through your eyes! "
I had been seeing the photos she'd been posting
on her Facebook wall of the progress they'd been making
in renovating her husband Richard's sweet childhood home,
the Dylla Farmhouse, and I was thoroughly charmed.
Of course I wanted to shoot it!
The plan upon completion was to turn the home into
a cozy country guest house, and succeed they did!
It is completely charming, lovely, and you can't help
but feel the love of the generations
of Dylla's who called this place home in years past.
Located in St. Hedwig, Texas
{ the far East side of San Antonio/Bexar County }
it is a true farmhouse in every sense of the word.
Rolling green fields, a chicken house,
and my fave, the heifers. More on them later!
Anyway, here are the photos from our shoot.
Enjoy!
I'm in love with this sweet little farmhouse,
and the Dylla's as well.
